The submission form supports research articles, review articles, case studies, and short communications. Use the IJMES manuscript template and adapt its sections to your research design. Article-specific word limits have not been finalized.
Use an informative title. The abstract should summarize the purpose, methods, principal findings, and significance without overstating conclusions. Provide specific keywords that aid discovery.
State the research problem and objectives. Situate the work in relevant scholarship, explain the knowledge gap, and cite original sources accurately.
Describe research design, materials, participants or data sources, procedures, and analytical methods sufficiently for critical assessment. Identify approvals, consent, and limitations where relevant.
Present findings clearly and distinguish observed results from interpretation. Discuss uncertainty, limitations, alternatives, and connections with prior work. Avoid unsupported generalization.
Summarize the contribution in proportion to the evidence. Separate recommendations from established findings and identify appropriate future work.
The IJMES Citation Style Guide recommends a consistent author-date house style for manuscript preparation. It is preparation guidance, not a claim of a formally adopted mandatory style. Match every in-text citation to its reference and include only verified DOI links.
Number tables and figures, provide descriptive captions, define abbreviations, and state units. Supply readable, appropriately labelled images. Disclose image processing that affects interpretation and obtain permissions for protected material.
Use the editable IJMES template: a readable single-column manuscript, 12-point body text, 1.5 line spacing and 1-inch margins are recommended for review. These are preparation recommendations, not finalized production specifications. Upload PDF or DOCX, up to 10 MB per file.
List all authors in the agreed order, with department, institution, country, and corresponding author contact details. Include verified ORCID identifiers where available. Co-authors must approve submission.
Disclose contributions, competing interests, financial support, funder roles, acknowledgements, and relevant use of automated tools. If there are no conflicts or funding, state that accurately.
Report applicable ethics approvals and informed consent. Explain how supporting data or code may be accessed, or why access is restricted. Do not publish confidential or identifying participant information without appropriate authorization.
Attribute words, ideas, methods, and data. Disclose related manuscripts, preprints, and prior dissemination. Do not submit substantially identical work simultaneously to multiple journals.
Complete the online form and attach the manuscript and optional cover letter. Confirm the declarations. Keep the manuscript ID displayed after successful submission; use it with the corresponding author email for tracking.
